Few people realize how many harmful poisons reach us from China every day in the form of products we consume. We all know the scandals with toxic substances in children’s toys or electronics, so it is no surprise that toxic substances are also found in food. If we want to avoid health problems in the future, such as cancer, we should avoid these 7 products from China that are a real threat to the human body.
Chinese products
For many people, price decides when shopping and most often it is the lowest price. But the lower the price of a given product is, the more we should pay attention to the manufacturer and the specific composition of that product.
In many European countries, scandals around Chinese products are not an exception, not even here with us.
A major scandal that speaks for all the cases happened 11 years ago. The Chinese did not hesitate to add the chemical melamine to infant powdered milk. As a result, over 300,000 small children whose parents bought this milk were hospitalized at that time. A large percentage of these children carried permanent kidney damage for life.
Tilapia
Tilapia is a fish that very much resembles our Czech carp. This fish lives in muddy environments and feeds on plankton or impurities it finds in the mud at the bottom of ponds or rivers.
Tilapia is one of the cheapest fish we can buy in our food stores. Because of its low price this fish is often used in school canteens or kitchens. But 80% of it is actually a fish imported from China, not farmed under our conditions.
The problem is that rivers in China have long been toxically polluted and because of that consuming fish living in these rivers is very dangerous for the human body.
Salt
We all remember the scandal regarding road salt, but the danger has not disappeared even now. The Chinese quite commonly add the technical kind to table salt, so buying cheap salt from China is definitely not a good idea.
Apple juice
If you are a fan of apple juice, be very careful not to gamble with your health when trying to save a few pennies. The Chinese do not hide that they use dangerous toxic preparations to grow fruit and vegetables. They even quite commonly use those that are officially banned.
In Western Europe up to 50% of imported juices come from China.
Cod
A large proportion of cod that we find in European stores comes from China. Again, the problem is the permanently polluted sea that surrounds China. Even so, fishermen catch and then sell these fish. Fish living in these waters can cause serious illnesses in us.
Garlic
Almost half of the garlic sold on our shelves is the Chinese kind. As with juice, there is a problem with pesticides that the Chinese use to grow garlic.
Not only is Chinese garlic less intense and contains fewer beneficial substances, but above all it contains chemicals used by the growers.
At the same time there is also a chemical used to bleach garlic. Admit it, we probably would not buy yellow garlic, but we would buy nice, large white garlic at a low price.
