Few people realize how many harmful poisons reach us every day from China in the form of products we consume. We all know the scandals with toxic substances in children’s toys or in electronics and so it is no surprise that toxic substances are also found in food. If we want to avoid health problems like cancer in the future, we should avoid these 7 products from China, which are a real threat to the human body.
Chinese products
For many people the price decides when shopping and most often it is the lowest price. But the lower the price of a given product is, the more we should pay attention to the manufacturer and the specific composition of that product.
In many European countries scandals around Chinese products are no exception, and not even here at home.
A major scandal that happened 11 years ago speaks for all the cases. The Chinese did not hesitate to add the chemical melamine to infant powdered milk. As a result, over 300,000 small children whose parents bought this milk were hospitalized at that time. A large percentage of these children suffered permanent kidney damage.
Tilapia
Tilapia is a fish that closely resembles our Czech carp. This fish lives in muddy environments and feeds on plankton or the impurities it finds in the mud at the bottom of a pond or river.
Tilapia is one of the cheapest fish we can buy in our food stores. Because of its low price this fish is often used in school canteens or cafeterias. However, 80% of it is actually fish imported from China, not farmed in our conditions.
The problem is that the rivers in China have long been toxically polluted and therefore consuming fish living in these rivers is very dangerous for the human body.
Salt
We all remember the scandal regarding de-icing salt, but the danger has not stopped even now. The Chinese quite commonly add technical-grade salt to table salt, so buying cheap salt from China is certainly not a good idea.
Apple juice
If you are a fan of apple juice, be very careful that in trying to save a few pennies you don’t gamble with your health. The Chinese do not hide that they use dangerous toxic preparations to grow fruit and vegetables. They even quite commonly use those that are officially banned.
In Western Europe up to 50% of imported juices come from China.
Cod
A large proportion of the cod we find in shops across Europe comes from China. Again, the problem is the persistently polluted sea surrounding China. Even so, fishermen there catch fish and then sell them. Fish living in these waters can cause serious illnesses in us.
Garlic
Almost half of the garlic sold on our shelves is Chinese. As with juice, there is a problem with the pesticides that the Chinese use for cultivation, including garlic.
Not only is Chinese garlic less intense and contains fewer beneficial substances, but above all it contains chemicals that the growers used.
At the same time there is the problem of a chemical used to bleach the garlic. Let’s admit it: we probably wouldn’t buy yellow garlic, but we would buy nice, large white garlic at a low price.
