Symptoms
This syndrome does not, of course, manifest only as cold in the limbs, but is also accompanied by symptoms such as tingling or paleness of the limbs. At first these sensations last only seconds or minutes, but later this problem can manifest for a very long time, even several hours at a stretch.
Some patients who suffer from this syndrome report that there were moments when they couldn’t feel their limbs at all and observed bluing. And that is the reason why doctors are sounding the alarm and warn all patients that if they feel any symptoms on their body, they should not hesitate to visit a doctor and address the health issue.
What causes it?
The most likely explanation for this syndrome is that there is reduced blood flow to these limbs. It can even lead to a complete stoppage of blood flow.
This happens because the arteries that supply blood to the limbs narrow too much.
There are patients who are born with the syndrome and patients who develop the syndrome during their life. The most common causes of this syndrome are stress, frequent exposure to cold, or smoking.
Prevention
If you want to prevent this syndrome, it is important to keep your hands and feet warm. It’s also worth trying certain dietary supplements that help proper blood circulation in the body. Blueberries, ginkgo biloba, mint or coenzyme Q10 help with that.
