If your dog constantly licks you, it can harm your frail health. There are actually many microorganisms in your dog’s oral cavity. These parasites are transferred to your face and into your mouth when licked.

Parasites

The best approach to avoiding parasites in dogs is consistent deworming. The most common parasites are primarily roundworms and tapeworms. If your dog begins to show signs of parasites, including poor health, weight loss, stunted growth, loose bowels or illness, take them to the veterinarian immediately.

Where are they found?

The largest number of microscopic organisms are located in dogs’ mouths and noses. In fact, for most infections our human body reacts similarly, however if you have a fragile health condition you may not be able to avoid the problem.

For example, 16% of dog owners are infected with microorganisms that cause gum disease and periodontitis.

Being licked by a dog

If your dog licks you, you can get a cold sore on your face. Pasteurella is another type of microorganism that causes various side effects in humans, such as swelling, redness, discharge, and that is just the tip of the iceberg. The most notably dangerous microorganisms are Capnocytophaga Canimorsus in light of the fact that they can trigger complete failure of human bodily functions.
