Article content Ginger
Taking fresh ginger, powdered ginger, or ginger in capsules, four times a day, is an excellent alternative to ibuprofen, especially for menstrual pain. Arnica
Osteoarthritis in the joints of the hands or feet can be treated by topically applying a cream containing Arnica.
Baikal skullcap (Baikal skullap)
This plant contains a substance called baicalin, which effectively reduces pain and can easily replace ibuprofen in strength. Vitamin C, Ginkgo biloba and astaxanthin
Use these substances to alleviate pain and discomfort from respiratory inflammations, asthma and other breathing problems. Omega-3 fatty acids
Pain can be effectively reduced by taking approximately 2000 mg of omega-3 fatty acids daily. Ginseng (Panax ginseng)
It is excellent for rheumatism and arthritis. Ginseng has a stronger effect on this type of pain than ibuprofen. St John’s wort
St John’s wort is also a better pain reliever than ibuprofen, even twice as effective. Raspberries and cherries
The enzyme cyclooxygenase, which causes inflammation, is suppressed by ibuprofen-based drugs. The mentioned fruits, on the other hand, contain anthocyanins that block this enzyme just as well. Basil
This herb has comparable anti-inflammatory effects to Ibalgin, Acylpyrin or Brufen. Olive oil
Ibuprofen and oleocanthal, a compound found in olive oil, have the same anti-inflammatory properties.
There are many more natural substances that reduce pain and inflammation. For example, aromatherapy also has similar effects. In the following list we also provide a percentage expression of the strength of pain relief.

A recent article published by the news agency Reuters revealed interesting findings about drugs used for pain such as diclofenac or ibuprofen (the active ingredient, for example, in the preparation Ibalgin).
It found that these medicines increase the risk of heart attack to the same extent as drugs that were previously withdrawn from the market due to their high risks. One of those withdrawn drugs, Vioxx, was the cause of as many as 30,000 deaths as a result of heart attacks and sudden cardiac events. This drug was available on the market for several years even though its manufacturer and state authorities knew about the possible consequences of its use.
The agency’s Reuters article states that the same risk of heart failure arises (with high consumption) from current drugs containing diclofenac and ibuprofen. In the Czech Republic this risk may concern drugs such as Ibalgin, Brufen, Ibuprofen or Voltaren.
Nowadays many people suffer from inflammations and the resulting pain. Sometimes the pain can be reduced, for example, by reducing stress or changing diet. In some cases, however, the pain can be so unbearable that the affected person tries at all costs to stop it. And it is precisely in these cases that over-the-counter painkillers such as Ibalgin are most often used.
Unfortunately many people do not realize that despite the relief from pain, these drugs are slowly killing their bodies. Ibuprofen is a petroleum derivative that increases the risk of heart attack and death from heart failure. In fact, when ibuprofen is combined with aspirin (acylpyrin), it can cause multicausal deaths , i.e. death from multiple causes.
Ibuprofen is also associated with other health problems, such as:
DNA damage miscarriages anemia death from influenza deafness high blood pressure Besides ibuprofen, many other nonsteroidal painkillers also increase the risk of heart attack.
Relief from pain is very important. Therefore you should
