Parasitic infections in the body are much more common than is said in public or in the medical community. In household pets, deworming treatments are routinely applied. With people, it is somehow assumed that intestinal parasites do not occur. The truth, however, is different.
Doctors do not routinely test for the presence of parasites during preventive check-ups. Therefore self-diagnosis by recognizing symptoms is all the more important so that you know how to protect yourself from them.
The most common symptoms of parasites in the body
- recurring yeast infections (candida)
- loss of appetite
- headaches
- constant hunger (for some it is loss of appetite, for others, on the contrary, hunger)
- mood swings – depression, anxiety, restlessness, irritability
- bleeding gums
- food allergies
- anemia and iron deficiency
- skin problems – acne, rashes, ulcers, redness, eczema
- cravings for sugar and processed foods
- chronic fatigue
- nervousness
- breathing problems
- nighttime teeth grinding and tossing and turning during sleep
- memory problems
- sexual potency problems in men
- pain and cramps during menstruation in women
- painful or stiff joints
- itching – mainly around the mouth, nose and anus
- constant digestive problems
The listed health problems can also indicate other diseases, but if they occur more frequently or several of them at the same time, there is a high probability of a parasitic burden on the body.
What to do in such a case? One option is professional diagnosis by a doctor. Therefore visit your doctor and ask him to examine you for signs of parasites and, if he finds them, to prescribe appropriate treatment.
Natural remedies for removing parasites
If your doctor does not want to perform tests for parasites or if you prefer natural treatment, then try some of the following natural remedies.
1. Fresh garlic
Garlic is one of the strongest natural antibiotics, capable of neutralizing over 60 types of mycoses, bacteria and even some types of viruses. In addition, garlic is effective against many parasites, thereby secondarily controlling fungal infections. This effect is achieved by preventing oxidative processes caused by toxins released by parasites.
Allicin, the active substance in garlic, directly destroys parasites, amoebae and other single-celled pathogenic organisms as well as several types of multicellular nematodes. To activate allicin you must first crush the garlic and leave it exposed to air for 5 to 10 minutes. During this time the enzyme alliinase acts, converting the substance alliin into active allicin. Cooking destroys some of the allicin, so it is best to consume garlic raw.
2. Cloves
Clove (Czech: hřebíček) is another herb with strong antiparasitic effects thanks to the substance caryophyllene. This active substance penetrates the bloodstream and primarily destroys microscopic parasites as well as larvae and eggs of larger parasites. Cloves also work on diseases such as cholera, malaria and tuberculosis. They kill candida, all types of staphylococci, E. coli and streptococci.
3. Ginger
Ginger does not directly kill parasites, but it is beneficial for removing bloating and nausea associated with dead parasites. It improves production of stomach acids, stimulates blood circulation and protects against common bacterial infections. It also removes mucus from the intestinal mucosa and the respiratory tract. Ginger is best consumed raw, sliced or grated and added to other dishes or salads.
4. Cucumber seeds
Cucumber seeds are excellent for removing tapeworms from the digestive tract. They contain beneficial enzymes that kill tapeworms. Therefore, if you notice possible symptoms of parasites, definitely try this proven natural remedy. For a quick cleanse, crush cucumber seeds into a powder and add 1 teaspoon to your favorite drink or just to a glass of plain water every day and drink it.
5. Pumpkin seeds
Pumpkin seeds contain a type of fat that is toxic to parasite eggs. They also contain the substance cucurbitin, which paralyzes parasites and causes them to detach from the intestinal walls. These seeds are often used by Chinese doctors for tapeworm. Grind 1 dcl of pumpkin seeds in a coffee grinder and add them to salads and other dishes.
6. Probiotics
Consuming probiotics during an antiparasitic course is important because many of the previously mentioned substances kill not only the parasites themselves but also beneficial gut bacteria. The role of probiotics is to restore the intestinal microflora and speed up recovery time. Eat natural yogurts, sauerkraut, kefir, fermented red beet or the well-known fermented drink kombucha.
7. Turmeric
Turmeric is one of the most beneficial spices you can use. It has strong anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory effects, speeds wound healing, repels intestinal parasites and also has excellent detoxifying properties. For better absorption, mix dried turmeric powder with pepper and olive oil.
8. Chili peppers, hot peppers
Spicy chili peppers and hot peppers contain the substance capsaicin, which destroys mycoses, molds and intestinal parasites. In addition, it stimulates blood circulation and strengthens the effect of other herbs. It is therefore recommended to combine it with the previously mentioned remedies. A proven natural remedy for parasites is a combination of chili peppers or hot peppers with pumpkin seeds and ginger.
