If your child constantly talks back to you, is ready to achieve their goals even if they have to roll on the floor and get purple paint on themselves, congratulations – they will be successful in life.
The results of a recent study were published in the journal Psychology of Development. Scientists interviewed more than 700 people aged 9 to 40 about their stubbornness and perception of their own rights.
The more stubborn a child is, the higher their IQ
And people who did what they considered necessary in childhood became more successful as adults.
The study is by no means conclusive: it does not take career opportunities or other decisions into account.
However, it is known that personality traits are better predictors of success than more traditional indicators, such as IQ.
