Varicose veins are a common health problem affecting both women and men. Those who are unfamiliar with them might think it’s just a minor cosmetic flaw.
The truth, however, is that it’s not just a cosmetic nuisance, because varicose veins often cause pain and significant discomfort.
How can olive oil help with varicose veins?
There are quite a few home remedies for varicose veins. We have also covered several of them on our site multiple times.
Did you know that even ordinary olive oil can help you with this unpleasant condition?
In today’s article we’ll reveal how. It’s truly simple and easy, yet you can achieve amazing results with this remedy.
And here is the exact procedure to follow:
1. First take a soft brush or towel and gently scrape off the top layer of dead skin cells from the skin. In other words, perform a gentle skin exfoliation.
2. Then boil water in a pot or kettle and pour it into a bowl.
3. Pour quality extra virgin olive oil into a second, smaller glass container and immerse it in the hot water so the oil warms up a bit.
Note: Never heat olive oil directly in a pot or over an open flame. Oil can heat up very quickly and you could burn yourself.
4. After heating the oil, test whether it is warm enough, but not so hot that it burns or is uncomfortable on the skin.
5. Then apply the warmed olive oil to your hands and spread it over the areas affected by varicose veins. Massage these areas in gentle circular motions for several minutes.
6. Always start massaging from the most distant point, for example from the calves, and move upward toward the thighs — that is, in the direction in which deoxygenated blood is returned from the limbs back to the lungs and heart.
Conclusion
Repeat this procedure every day, or at least three times a week, until your varicose veins disappear or until you are satisfied with the result.
We are convinced it won’t take long and you will be pleasantly surprised by the effect of this remedy.
