How does this drink work?
Our drink is fairly simple and consists of only 3 ingredients – turmeric, ginger and onion. Each of these ingredients is easily available and you probably already have them at home.
They are each known individually for a wide range of their medicinal effects. However, if you combine them, you get a truly powerful and tasty cleansing medicine for the lungs.
Turmeric is used as a food additive and can also be applied topically. It is widely used in Ayurveda treatment and even modern scientific studies report more than 600 of its medicinal effects.
It contains many vitamins and minerals that act antibacterial, antiviral and anti-cancer.
Ginger is another popular medicinal herb, mainly in traditional Chinese and Indian medicine. It is strongly anti-inflammatory and also helps with stomach problems.
In our recipe we will mainly use its healing effects and its ability to reduce mucus production in the lungs, which often happens with smoking.
Onion is the last ingredient in our recipe today. Onion contains extremely potent antioxidants and is also known for its anti-tumor properties, which help prevent the development of lung cancer from smoking.
Studies have shown that several components in onion suppress the growth of cells of certain types of cancer.
You won’t get the most pleasant breath from it, but without a doubt its healing properties will make up for that.
Preparation of the lung-cleansing drink
To prepare this drink you will need the following ingredients:
- 2 tablespoons of powdered turmeric
- 400 grams of onion
- a 3 to 4 cm piece of ginger
- 400 grams of maple syrup
- 1 liter of water
Procedure
1. Dilute the maple syrup in the water and heat it to boiling.
2. Add the grated ginger and chopped onion to it and bring it to a boil again.
3. Now add the turmeric, stir it well and reduce the heat to medium.
4. Let it simmer until one-third to one-half of the water has evaporated.
5. Strain everything and carefully pour the contents of the pot into a glass container (pour slowly so the glass does not crack).
6. Let the syrup cool to room temperature and then place it in the refrigerator.
Use
Consume 2 tablespoons of this syrup daily – one in the morning and one in the evening. The ideal time is at least 2 hours after a meal.
Use it regularly for several weeks.
You can drink the syrup directly or dilute it first in a glass of clean water.
Remember that taking this syrup to cleanse the lungs does not mean you can continue to smoke as much as you want.
