Recipe for bay leaf tea

To prepare the tea you will need these ingredients:

  • 1 liter of water
  • 5 to 6 dried bay leaves

Instructions

When preparing the tea, proceed as follows:

1. Pour the water into a pot and bring it to a boil.

2. When the water starts boiling, add the bay leaves and simmer them for a few minutes over low heat.

3. Then turn off the stove, cover the pot with a lid and let it steep for 10 to 15 minutes.

4. Next, strain the tea. If you like, you can sweeten it a little with honey.

Usage

For best effect, take the tea 2 to 4 times a day, one cup (250 ml) each time.

It is best to drink it in the morning immediately after waking up, in the evening before sleep, and once or twice during the day.

Use it regularly every day until your health condition improves.

What else bay leaf tea offers

In addition to the health benefits already mentioned, bay leaf tea also provides you with vitamin A and the minerals magnesium, calcium, potassium and iron.

To relieve rheumatic pain, in addition to drinking the tea, massage the affected joints with olive oil in which crushed bay leaves have been steeped for a week.

To get rid of dandruff, rinse your head with a decoction of bay leaves. If you suffer from diabetes, drinking the tea will help you regulate your blood sugar level.

In summer, placing bay leaves around the house will help keep mosquitoes at bay.

You can also use it to alleviate symptoms and speed up the treatment of flu, rhinitis, colds and other respiratory problems. Compresses made from the decoction applied directly to the chest are commonly used for this purpose.

You can also use compresses in the treatment of skin infections, acne, rashes and eczema, because bay leaf has fairly strong antibacterial effects.
