Strengthens bones

Cumin contains nutrients and minerals important for the structure, strength and mobility of bones. These include calcium, vitamins A and B12, potassium and magnesium. It also contains estrogenic compounds that help in the treatment of osteoporosis. Cumin extract even minimizes bone mass loss in older people and improves their density. Lightly and briefly toast one teaspoon over low heat and pour 2.5 dcl of water over it. Bring to a boil and then remove from the stove. After straining and cooling you can drink the tea.

Recipe against cough

We need:

  • 50 g ground cumin (you can use whole if you don’t have ground)
  • 250 ml of water
  • for adults also 1 tablespoon of slivovitz

Procedure:
Mix the cumin with 200 ml of water, place on the heat and, with the lid slightly ajar, simmer on low heat for 15 minutes. You should now have a thick dark mixture in the pot.

Strain the liquid and add another 50 ml of water to it. Return to the heat and let it boil again. I don’t know about very small children, but my grandmother gave us this “vitamin” only from about 10 years old. Adults add 1 tablespoon of slivovitz to the resulting mixture. 🙂

Children take one teaspoon of the mixture twice a day and adults one tablespoon three times a day. Be careful not to drive afterwards, because it contains alcohol. Use it only briefly; after a few doses we always felt relief and then only ginger and herbal teas were enough :-).

The anti-inflammatory effects of cumin may be responsible for the rapid onset of action. However, when you are taking this cure, do not forget to drink enough fluids, as cumin has a diuretic effect.

In moderation
There is no need to overdo it and if your health condition does not require it, the optimal intake of cumin should not exceed more than half a tablespoon in one dish, at most three times a week. If, on the other hand, you are suffering from problems, it is recommended to drink cumin tea / cumin drink up to twice daily.
