1. Cold water
The first thing to do with minor burns is to place the burned part of the skin under cold running water.
The main goal of this measure is to quickly cool the skin to prevent further damage.
However, never apply ice to the affected area. It could make the situation worse.
2. Hydrocortisone cream
Another suitable remedy recommended by the WebMD website is a 0.5% cream containing the active ingredient hydrocortisone.
Apply it directly to the burned skin and cover with a dressing or gauze.
3. Aloe vera gel
You can use aloe vera not only for beautifying and rejuvenating the skin, but it is also excellent for soothing and regenerating burns.
The best for this purpose is the fresh pulp, so it’s good to always have a live aloe plant at home.
Simply break off a leaf, scoop out the pulp and apply it to the burned spot. If you don’t have a live plant, you can use a store-bought gel.
4. Honey

5. Cooked potato peel
Another surprising finding of experts was that cooked potato peel also works very well for burns.
Proceed as follows:
First cook several larger potatoes and after cooking remove the peel. Remove any potato residue from the peel with water.
Then dry the potato peels.
When a burn occurs, take an antibiotic cream, apply it to the inside of the peel and then place it on the burn. Wrap the wound with a bandage that will hold the potato peel in place.
If the wound itches, change such a dressing every day. Otherwise it is sufficient to change it once every 3 to 7 days.
6. Raw potato pulp
Another method to alleviate burns is to use raw potato pulp.
First peel the raw potatoes, then grate them. Apply the grated potatoes to the burns. Also bandage the area with a dressing.
Potatoes will draw heat from the skin on one hand and supply substances needed for rapid healing on the other.
