Every woman would like to maintain the perfect appearance of her skin for as long as possible. Times are simply such that people want to look young.

Moreover, smooth and clear wrinkle-free skin gives a person not only a nicer appearance but also confidence. So how can you keep such skin into older age?

There are extreme methods such as botulinum toxin injections or plastic surgery, but in the long term they have a worse effect on the skin than doing nothing.

Many celebrities are witnesses to this, who over the course of a few years or even months have changed from beautiful women into downright monsters.

Today we’ll therefore show you 14 natural ways to achieve an equally good, but above all more lasting, result compared to similar radical therapies.

It’s good to work as many of them as possible into your life and make them a daily routine. Your skin will thank you for it over time.

And now let’s look at the principles you must follow to reduce the visibility and formation of wrinkles.

1. Stay out of the sun

While sunlight is important for the production of vitamin D, excessive exposure has been proven to accelerate wrinkle formation.

Evidence for this includes twins, where one spends much more time in the sun than the other and over time has much more visible wrinkles.

Instead of all-day tanning in summer, opt for shorter but more frequent time in the sun.

It’s also worth using natural sunscreen (commercial ones often do more harm than good).

2. Sleep on your back
If you think your sleeping position doesn’t matter, you’re mistaken.

The American Academy of Dermatology has shown that sleeping on your side promotes wrinkle formation on the chin and cheeks. Sleeping on your stomach affects the forehead and the eye area.

In this light, sleeping on your back appears to be best.

3. If you need glasses, wear them
The same organization recommends that you wear glasses if they are prescribed. Without them you’ll squint, which later reflects in the formation of new wrinkles.

Also wear sunglasses with UV filter outdoors to protect the delicate skin around your eyes from damage.

4. Eat more fish
Most fatty fish such as salmon or sardines are beneficial for your health because of their content of omega-3 fatty acids.

These are nutrients extremely important for maintaining healthy and beautiful skin.

The problem with fish nowadays is sea pollution. Therefore some experts recommend eating smaller fish like sardines, which accumulate fewer toxins.

An alternative to fish is consuming quality nutritional supplements with omega-3 fatty acids DHA and EPA, for example this one in Slovakia or this one in the Czech Republic.

5. Regenerate your skin by consuming soy
A study published in the European Journal of Nutrition showed that participants consuming soy for 6 months had firmer skin than others.

However, consume soy in the form of fermented tofu, because regular soy contains too many substances that can have a negative effect on the thyroid. Fermentation breaks these substances down in soy.

Extracts from white tea, tomatoes and grape seeds are also recommended.

6. Stop smoking

Smoking is not only harmful to your overall health, but also accelerates aging and wrinkle formation.

It has been found that smoking breaks down two of the skin’s main components – elastin and collagen.

A study comparing smokers and non-smokers showed that smokers have up to 40% thinner skin and many more wrinkles than non-smokers.

7. Get regular good sleep
The well-known dermatologist Dr. Nicholas Perricone found that the more you sleep, the more your body produces the growth hormone HGH, which improves skin quality and prevents wrinkle formation.

During sleep also make sure you have enough fresh air in the room.

8. Instead of a cup of coffee, have a glass of hot chocolate
The Journal of Nutrition published the results of a study in which researchers found that participants consuming cocoa had noticeably smoother and better-looking skin.

Cocoa contains two important flavanols – catechin and epicatechin. These two substances are responsible for better blood flow to skin cells and also for their improved hydration.

In addition, it protects the skin from damage by sunlight.

9. Consume more fruit and vegetables
Most fruits and vegetables are rich in antioxidants that neutralize free radicals that damage cells.

This ensures that your skin will look young longer and resist the effects of premature aging.

10. Wash your face less often
Dermatologists from the medical center at the University of Maryland found that frequent washing of the face with water and soap removes the skin’s natural oils and moisture, which prevent wrinkle formation.

Instead of soap and water, try using just water or special cleansing products that do not remove these natural oils from the skin.

11. Practice facial massage
After applying a moisturizing cream to your face, it’s good to massage it for a while.

When massaging, use upward movements and pay special attention to the eye area. Such a massage will improve blood and lymph circulation.

12. Never sleep with makeup on your face
Make sure that every evening before you lie down in bed you gently remove makeup from your skin.

It’s also a good time to apply a night cream that will ensure good hydration of the skin during sleep.

13. Apply a face mask a few times a week
