Many of us dream of how to have a Hollywood-perfect smile, but not everyone can afford to go to the dentist and undergo procedures that often cost hundreds of euros.
Therefore, today we will share with you 10 home methods for whitening teeth that are just as effective, yet cheap, simple and completely natural.
1. Activated (animal) charcoal
Activated charcoal is one of the simplest and cheapest methods of natural teeth whitening.
Take one tablet of animal charcoal and crush it into a powder. Then apply it to your toothbrush and brush your teeth as you normally do.
Perform this procedure 2 to 3 times a week.
2. Powdered milk and regular toothpaste
Powdered milk will help you obtain beautiful white teeth and also preserve their health.
Put your regular toothpaste on your toothbrush and mix in a little powdered milk. Then brush your teeth as usual.
It is recommended to repeat it twice a week.
3. Baking soda and lemon juice
Put a little baking soda on your toothbrush and add a few drops of fresh lemon juice. As in previous cases, use this mixture to brush your teeth in the usual way.
However, remember not to use this method more often than once a week, otherwise you may damage your tooth enamel.
4. Hydrogen peroxide
Before using hydrogen peroxide, make sure you do not have overly sensitive teeth. If everything is fine, soak a cotton swab in a 3% hydrogen peroxide solution and gently rub your teeth with it. Do not swallow the liquid and rinse your mouth with water afterwards.
As with baking soda and lemon, do not use this method more often than 1 to 2 times a week, otherwise you may damage your tooth enamel.
5. Baking powder and lemon juice
In a bowl, mix 1 teaspoon of baking powder with 1 teaspoon of fresh lemon juice. Then apply this mixture to your teeth and let it sit for a while.
This method can work small miracles for whitening teeth, but do not leave the mixture on your teeth for longer than 2 minutes and do not do it more often than once every 7 days.
6. Sea salt, lemon juice and toothpaste
Mix in a bowl half a teaspoon of sea salt with a bit of freshly squeezed lemon juice and a small amount of regular toothpaste.
Apply this mixture to your teeth and leave it for about 1 minute. Then rinse your mouth thoroughly with water. It is recommended to do this 1 to 2 times a week.
7. Lemon juice and water
Prepare a mixture consisting of equal amounts of fresh lemon juice and water.
Rinse your mouth with this mixture for 1 minute. It will help restore the natural shine and whiteness of your teeth. However, do this at most once a week.
8. Apple cider vinegar and water
Dilute 1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar in a glass of water.
Then rinse your mouth with this mixture every morning before you brush your teeth in the usual way.
9. Strawberries
Take a ripe strawberry and mash it on a plate with a spoon or fork.
Apply the resulting “paste” to your toothbrush and brush your teeth with it for a few minutes. It will help remove yellow stains from your teeth and whiten them at the same time.
Repeat this procedure several times a week.
10. Toothpaste, salt, baking soda and lemon juice
In a bowl combine a teaspoon of toothpaste, a pinch of salt, a pinch of baking soda and 4 to 5 drops of fresh lemon juice.
Then apply this “super combination” to your toothbrush and gently brush your teeth with it for about 5 minutes. You will see a difference in tooth whiteness right after the first use.
It is a very effective method, but you must not use it more often than once every 2 months, otherwise you may damage your tooth enamel.
Conclusion
Always use only one method; do not combine them on the same day or the same week.
Only perform home teeth whitening when you do not have cavities or otherwise damaged teeth, so that you do not accidentally worsen their condition.
