If you want to lose weight but at the same time don’t feel like paying too much attention to what you eat, then this cucumber diet is designed just for you.

To gain maximum benefit from it, you must follow it for at least 10 days, ideally 14.

During this period you will consume only the specific foods listed below. In addition to this diet, however, you will need to be at least somewhat physically active.

You don’t have to spend hours in the gym right away; 10 to 15 minutes of brisk walking a few times during the day, or walking up at least 3 to 4 flights of stairs several times a day, will suffice.

Regarding food, the rule here is that you can eat fresh cucumber anytime and in any amount, especially when you feel hungry.

List of foods that you will consume daily in addition to cucumbers:

  • 300 grams of any fruit (your favorite)
  • 3 slices of wholegrain bread or 2 medium boiled potatoes (can be boiled or baked, but not fried)
  • 150 grams of tuna (without oil) or 2 hard-boiled eggs or 150 grams of grilled white meat
  • fluids: tea, coffee without sugar (no sweetened drinks or alcohol allowed)

You can eat fresh cucumber salad or drink a cucumber shake anytime between or with other meals. Whenever you feel hungry, eat one or the other. The amount does not matter.

Daily cucumber diet

Here is a breakdown of which foods to consume during the day:

Breakfast: Cucumber salad and 2 hard-boiled eggs.

Mid-morning snack: Fresh fruit – for example 1 large apple, 1 peach (less than 200 grams) and 5 plums.

Lunch: Wholegrain bread (can be toasted) with cucumber salad.

Snack: Cucumber shake.

Dinner: Fresh fruit salad (300 grams).

Recipe for cucumber salad

To make the cucumber salad you will need:

  • 400 grams of fresh cucumber
  • 200 ml of soured milk (unsweetened and unflavored) or plain yogurt
  • a pinch of salt
  • fresh spring onion

Method for making the cucumber salad

First peel the cucumber and cut it into small pieces. Then add a little salt and mix well.

Next add the yogurt or soured milk and mix well again. Finally add the fresh spring onion and your cucumber salad is ready.

 
Recipe for cucumber shake

To make the cucumber shake you will need:

  • 1 apple
  • a handful of spinach
  • 1 cucumber
  • a 1 to 2 cm long piece of ginger root
  • 20 grams of almonds or walnuts

Method for making the cucumber shake

Start by placing the washed and chopped apple, spinach and the (unpeeled) cucumber into a blender and blend everything well.

Then add the fresh peeled piece of ginger and blend further. When done, pour the shake into a large glass and top it with crushed almonds or walnuts.

It is important that you consume the cucumber shake as soon as possible so that its healing effects are not lost.

It contains a large amount of vitamins, minerals and enzymes such as: vitamins A, C, E, K and B vitamins, as well as iron, magnesium, calcium, fiber, etc.

Don’t forget that during this diet you should somewhat increase your normal physical activity.

Besides the aforementioned brisk walking and taking stairs, you can also jog lightly, cycle, exercise at home on a mat, or even go to the gym.
