Are you tired of illnesses and health problems?

In this article you will find a few tips and tricks on how to relieve symptoms accompanying the flu or a cold.

This will be about acupressure, which provides fairly quick results. The only thing you’ll need to feel better is a few minutes for each round of therapy.

The best thing about this form of acupressure is that you can apply it yourself and you won’t need any needles, as is the case with acupuncture.

Preparation before the massage

Before you proceed to applying acupressure, relax. Sit comfortably in a chair or in your favorite armchair. Do not cross your legs and pay special attention to your breathing. It should be even.
Warm your hands a little by rubbing them together. Then place your left hand on your right thigh and your right hand on your left thigh.

Now begin to apply gentle pressure to the places on the body you want to affect. Remember to breathe deeply and evenly the whole time, even when you feel some pain.

If pain happens to appear, it should be only relatively mild.

Which areas and how to massage

Runny nose – massage the tip of the thumb. It will stimulate the throat and nose, which will then result in the alleviation of symptoms such as difficulty swallowing, coughing, or a blocked nose.

Sore throat – The same applies as for a runny nose, except you should massage the lower part of the thumb.

Sinus pain – sinus problems can really ruin your whole day. To relieve them, massage the tips of all fingers except the thumb. The closer you go to the nails, the better the effect should be. This activity may increase the flow of mucus from the sinuses, so keep some tissues on hand.

Flu – the trick is to apply pressure to any of the pads of the fingers. You should feel your muscles relax. Such relaxation helps toxins and other waste substances leave the body. Massaging the skin between the thumb and the index finger also helps a lot.

For other health problems, massage the points as shown in the introductory picture.

What acupressure does for your body
Acupressure does not only help with the unpleasant symptoms of a cold or the flu.

Its other benefits include:

1. Preventive effect
Acupressure works excellently in preventing various illnesses. For more specific conditions, use a map of acupressure points.

By applying pressure to these points you will not only help treat the illness associated with the given point, but you can also reliably prevent that illness.

2. Diagnostic effect
When pressing some point you may begin to feel disproportionate pain.

If this happens, it indicates some completely different illness in your body.

3. Therapeutic effect
By performing acupressure regularly you can strengthen your overall health.

One of the most significant benefits of acupressure is its ability to release tension. With each massage your blood circulation and the oxygenation of organs will improve.

Your body will return to balance, harmful substances will be removed from it and the overall immune system will also be strengthened.

Therefore, do not hesitate to try this ancient healing technique on yourself. Devote at least a few minutes to it each day and after a while you will be pleasantly surprised by the results.
