One could say that oregano is a truly versatile medicine – for the flu (viruses), throat and sinus infections (bacteria), Candida (yeast) up to mycoses (fungi) on the skin.

How to prepare and use oregano tea

Oregano tea is prepared very simply.

Take 1 teaspoon of dried oregano or 2 teaspoons of fresh oregano leaves and pour over them 300–400 ml of boiling water.

Cover the cup or container with a lid and let steep for 5 to 10 minutes.

Finally strain the tea and you can start drinking it. If you like, you can flavor it with a teaspoon of honey or a squeeze of lemon juice.

Use as needed and depending on the severity of the illness 1 to 3 times a day, 200–400 ml of tea each time. It is best to sip the tea throughout the day.

For a sore throat also gargle with the tea. For sinus inflammations, in addition to drinking it, use it for inhalation.
