It seems that the fact that cannabis successfully kills cancer cells is no longer any of those conspiracy theories.
From now on we can officially consider this plant a recognized prevention and treatment for cancer.
According to Amy Willis, who provides cancer counseling, the US government has just added information about the use of cannabis and cannabinoids (the active substances in cannabis) to its official website.
As it states:
“The National Institutes of Health, which is part of the U.S. Department of Health, now states that cannabinoids are useful in treating cancer and the side effects of oncological treatments.
Cannabis can be used by inhalation, as well as in baked products, by drinking tea, or by spraying extracts under the tongue.”
Health effects of cannabis
The page of the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) further lists the health effects of cannabis.
These include the following:
- reducing stress
- relief from pain
- suppression of inflammation
- antiviral effects
- reducing anxiety
- anti-cancer effects
- relieving muscle spasms in multiple sclerosis
- many others
In addition, the page cites laboratory tests that found cannabis successfully destroys many types of cancer.
As several scientific studies have already recommended cannabis in the past, this year even the National Institute on Drug Abuse updated its publications.
They state that cannabis reduces tumors by killing cancer cells.
So now that even the US government officially acknowledges the anti-cancer effects of cannabis, will governments around the world, including those of Slovakia and the Czech Republic, change their positions on this herb?
Conclusion
Cannabis is an incredibly beneficial plant. It has no side effects and effectively treats many serious health problems, including cancer.
It is therefore our duty to fight for the many suffering patients who could benefit greatly from cannabis-based therapies in their treatment.
