For a healthy lifestyle people don’t choose it just to achieve a good figure, but also so they feel well and full of energy. Of course a beautiful figure is a big plus that a healthy lifestyle brings.

If you don’t feel well, if you’re tired and if you haven’t been able to lose weight long-term, there may be several reasons for that. Take a look at 10 morning bad habits you should quickly get rid of.

1. Long morning lounging in bed:

Sufficiently long sleep is very important, but nothing should be overdone. As they say, no extreme is appropriate and remember that when it comes to sleep as well. The ideal amount of sleep is 7 to 8 hours and it’s best to go to bed earlier in the evening and get up earlier in the morning. People who sleep too long are more prone to cardiovascular disease and diabetes, which is also related to obesity.

2. You don’t make time for a healthy and hearty breakfast:

If you make time for breakfast in the morning, your body will definitely thank you. Thanks to breakfast your metabolism will work much better, which prevents problems with weight gain. If you eat properly in the morning, your appetite during the day is reduced and thus your calorie intake during the day.

Another benefit is that breakfast lowers the level of cortisol in the blood. Cortisol is a stress hormone that is released into the body after waking to prevent a sudden drop in blood sugar.

3. You check your mobile or computer immediately after waking:

The time you spend in the morning checking your mobile or computer could easily be invested differently, for example by preparing a tasty breakfast or a morning workout that would inject morning energy and strength into your body.

Among other things, checking emails or text messages in the morning is a stressful activity that you should avoid after waking.

4. You don’t use the scale regularly:

Many studies show that people who weighed themselves regularly were more motivated in their efforts to lose weight than those who did not weigh themselves. The best way to weigh yourself is first thing in the morning, after using the toilet and before drinking water, or before consuming breakfast.

If you also go to the gym while losing weight, you can expect weight gain. This number shouldn’t worry you, because muscle is heavier than fat and therefore your weight may increase in this case.

5. You consume carbohydrates in the wrong form:

Consuming carbohydrates is important, however not all carbohydrates are the same. On a diet you should try to consume healthy carbohydrates that will curb your hunger and will be released slowly.

It’s best to choose carbohydrates found, for example, in mango, oatmeal, whole wheat, Greek yogurt, bananas, or blueberries.

6. You wear too uncomfortable and tight clothing:

It’s natural that some types of jobs require a specific style of dress and therefore suits are an indispensable part in some places. If you are forced to wear such clothing it’s likely that you don’t take the stairs but prefer to take the elevator.

That’s understandable — if possible, choose more comfortable clothing. As part of your weight-loss plan, try to use the stairs available to you.

7. You don’t meditate:

Even a short, few-minute meditation each morning can help with your weight loss and gaining energy. Thanks to meditation your blood pressure and also the level of cortisol, the stress hormone in the blood, will decrease. When the level of this hormone is balanced, your appetite will also be steady.

8. You skip morning stretching:

As with meditation, with stretching it’s not necessary to do it for a long time each day, but every day, i.e., regularly. A few minutes a day is enough and you’ll feel better. You will help your aching muscles and joints and your movement during the day will be much more flexible.

9. You don’t drink a glass of water in the morning:

Before you dive into your obligatory morning coffee you should drink at least 250 ml of plain water or water with lemon juice. Drinking water immediately after waking will activate you, give you energy, maintain balance in the body and also the proper body temperature.

10. You don’t let light into the bedroom in the morning:

If getting up in the morning is really difficult for you, daylight might help, as it automatically aids in activating your body. It will charge you with energy and a good mood, thanks to which you’ll certainly exercise earlier, rather than staying in a dim, poorly lit room.
