Liver, kidneys and the urinary bladder are important organs, but people often forget them and that can become fatal for them. That is why we have prepared a few simple tips for you that will help keep your body healthy.
Don’t oversalt food and drink less alcohol:
Many of these foods have become part of our diet, but in reality you should rather avoid them. We mean coffee, soft drinks, salt and foods with a very high protein content. Keep in mind that you can already find unsalted versions of your favorite salty foods in stores.
Enjoy more tea, water and cranberries:
There are many foods you can add to your diet that will help eliminate toxins from your body. These include drinks like green tea, ginger tea and plain water. Add more fruit and vegetables to your diet, cranberries and brown seaweed. It’s a good idea to have fruit for breakfast.
Take vitamins:
There are many supportive herbs and supplements that help maintain healthy kidneys, such as vitamin B-6 and omega-3. These will help you reduce the chances of kidney stone formation.
Don’t forget to balance your mental and physical health:
Stress can also take its toll on your body, even on your organs. A simple meditation routine, such as breathing exercises, can help you manage stress; breathing also helps oxygenate the whole body. Another simple treatment called hydrotherapy uses water for pain relief, which can help your circulatory system, as well as give the body and mind the rest they need.
Try a 2-day kidney cleanse:
Even a 2-day cleanse can really work wonders.
Breakfast: Try drinking a juice with fruit, for example beet juice with dried cranberries or a smoothie, preferably with spinach.
Lunch: You can prepare a warm bowl of cereal to which you add your favorite fruit.
Dinner: Make a salad to your taste, add protein – lean meat or tofu, add lemon and your favorite fruit.
Try Kegel exercises for your bladder.
You may be surprised that there are ways to help your bladder. Dr. Arnold Kegel developed these pelvic exercises in 1948 to help women with stress urinary incontinence, especially after childbirth or menopause. If performed regularly, they can prevent urine leakage.
It is simple, hold the pelvic floor muscles and count to 10 and then release them. Do this exercise 10 times standing, 10 times while sitting and 10 times when resting. Make sure, however, that your bladder is empty before you start practicing them.
Exercise your liver:
There are several exercises that help the liver. You feel it by pressing on the area under the ribs on the right side. You can gently press it, massage it to keep it healthy. Try twisting your body from left to right about 15 times on each side. As mentioned above, daily sessions, performed about 5 hours a week, can work wonders for your liver.
Bonus – smoothie tips:
Mix one cup of almond milk with tofu and half a cup of spinach. Now add fruit to the mixture, for example berries, apples or even pumpkin seeds. Another recipe is one cup of soy milk, one frozen banana and half a cup of spinach. Again add your favorite fruit.
