Italy has reason for a little joy.
A 95-year-old grandmother whose coronavirus infection was confirmed at the beginning of March was released from the hospital.

While European countries are fighting the coronavirus, China is reporting positive news. According to official records, in the last day no one was again infected directly on the country’s territory. But good news also came from Italy, which is currently the most affected country. The coronavirus was defeated by a 95-year-old grandmother, who is something of a beacon of hope in these difficult times, reports the portal Metro with reference to the Italian newspaper Gazzetta di Modena.
She Could Go Home
The 95-year-old grandmother was hospitalized on March 5. Her coronavirus infection was confirmed. However, a few days ago she was released from the hospital. Alma Clara Corsini became the oldest woman in Italy to beat the coronavirus.
Corsini was able to return home. She is something of a beacon of hope in the difficult times that Italy is experiencing. “Yes, I’m fine. Good people took care of me,” she said.
In China a 103-year-old grandmother recovered
The oldest known patient to overcome the coronavirus was 103-year-old Ms. Zhang Guangfen. She underwent treatment at a hospital in the Chinese city of Wuhan. She recovered quickly also because she had almost no health problems, the only exception being a mild chronic condition.
