You’ve probably heard of the epiphysis or pineal gland. It is a gland in the brain that controls many important things in the body. That is why it is important to take care of it and detoxify it regularly.

This small gland is located in the center of the brain and its function is related to our physical and mental well-being. Because of that it is often also called the “third eye”.

The main role of the pineal gland is the production of melatonin, a chemical whose function is to regulate our sleep. Its level in the blood is highest at night. In addition, melatonin is also a powerful antioxidant that slows aging.

The epiphysis also secretes another hormone, serotonin. It is a neurotransmitter that maintains the balance of our mind and makes us happy.

The body can also chemically convert serotonin into melatonin. These are therefore interrelated hormones, the first acting at night, the other during the day.

People claim that taking melatonin supplements creates increased feelings of empathy.

It is also assumed that the epiphysis produces the substance DMT. It is a substance associated with creativity, imagination, dreams and even hallucinations.

This also explains why the epiphysis is called the “third eye”.

Causes of pineal gland calcification

Our pineal gland calcifies as a result of toxin accumulation. The main culprit is fluoride, which is found in Teflon pans, in most toothpastes and even in many preparations.

Other causes of epiphysis calcification include:

  • refined sugar
  • most processed foods
  • alcohol
  • caffeine
  • hormones
  • mercury (found in most fish)
  • tobacco

The most effective ways to detoxify the epiphysis

Among the proven methods of decalcifying and detoxifying the pineal gland are the following:

1. Vitamin K (K1 and K2)
This vitamin appears in two forms – as K1 and K2. The first is found in green leafy vegetables, while K2 is produced by the gut microflora in the intestines.

It is also present in foods such as egg yolks, chicken or goose liver, dairy products from organically raised cows, fish roe, sauerkraut, fish oils (omega 3 fatty acids) and mollusks.

In combination with vitamins A and D3 it removes calcium not only from the arteries but also from the epiphysis. It then transfers it to where it belongs – the bones1.

2. Iodine
Studies have shown that iodine removes sodium fluoride through urine.

The problem is that many people are deficient in it. Therefore you should eat more iodine-rich foods such as sea fish and seaweed.

3. Garlic
Garlic is one of the strongest natural antibiotics and also detoxifies the epiphysis by dissolving calcium.

You should take half a crushed clove every other day. Spread it, for example, with honey on bread with butter.

If the smell bothers you too much, soak it in freshly squeezed lemon juice or apple cider vinegar.

4. Apple cider vinegar
Raw apple cider vinegar has a high content of malic acid, which detoxifies this gland.

Add it to salads or other dishes. You can simply dilute 1 teaspoon of vinegar with lukewarm water and drink it.

5. Boron
Boron is another strong detoxifier for the pineal gland. It effectively removes fluoride from the body, thereby preventing its further calcification.

7. Tamarind
