There is one duo that can ensure health and longevity better than anything else. It is the combination we present to you in today’s article.
The herbs we will be talking about come from different parts of the world. Each of them has been successfully used in folk medicine to treat various health problems.
Only now have health experts discovered that when these two herbs are combined, an almost unbeatable weapon is created against the deadliest diseases of the 21st century.
And those herbs are moringa and ginger.
Why is Moringa important?
Moringa is also known by another name — the tree of life. Many cultures in Central and South America have used it for centuries as a natural medicinal remedy.
Let’s look at what moringa can do:
1. It can treat arthritis
Due to its high content of anti-inflammatory substances, moringa can alleviate the symptoms of arthritis.
It contains a wide range of vitamins and minerals needed for joint health, including iron, copper, magnesium, potassium and calcium.
2. It prevents cancer
Many clinical studies have confirmed that moringa can significantly reduce the proliferation and multiplication of cancer cells. This is due to the presence of benzyl isothiocyanate.
It is therefore often recommended even to patients who have undergone chemotherapy.
3. It lowers cholesterol levels
As reported in the Journal of Ethnopharmacology, moringa has the ability to successfully lower cholesterol levels.
It also helps the body maintain healthy cardiovascular function without burdening the organism.
4. It treats headaches
Ancient medicine uses moringa as a natural pain reliever, especially in cases of chronic headaches and migraines.
It acts as an analgesic. Therefore it can cope to a greater or lesser extent with almost all types of pain.
5. It reduces hypertension (high blood pressure)
Thiocarbamate and isothiocyanate glycosides are components found in moringa that help reduce elevated blood pressure in patients suffering from this condition.
6. It soothes the stomach
Moringa contains active substances against stomach ulcers.
It is also suitable for addressing intestinal problems and other stomach issues, such as insufficient production of gastric acids.
7. It protects the liver
Liver diseases can be easily brought under control by consuming moringa.
It enables proper healing and regeneration of organs such as the liver or gallbladder, which are interconnected.
8. It helps with anemia
Due to its high nutrient content, moringa can quite successfully treat anemia.
This is mainly thanks to its high content of important minerals (iron, potassium and magnesium), but also vitamins and proteins.
These nutrients significantly improve the quality of blood components, including hemoglobin and red blood cells.
Health benefits of ginger
Ginger root offers many health benefits that help the human body heal faster.
According to some studies, ginger may prevent many diseases, including type 2 diabetes, fluctuations in blood sugar levels and more.
It mainly helps in the following cases:
1. Motion sickness
Take a little ginger 3 hours before a flight. It can be in the form of tea or simply chew a piece of peeled ginger in your mouth.
If the trip is longer, consume ginger during it as well.
2. Alleviating side effects of chemotherapy
Cancer patients are advised to take ginger to relieve any feelings of nausea, vomiting or weakness that result from chemotherapy.
3. Pregnancy-related problems
Pregnant women should consume ginger to reduce nausea and stomach problems.
Consume half a teaspoon of dried root ginger mixed in a glass of water several times during the day to get rid of the discomfort.
Treatment should not, however, last longer than two months. To be safe, consult your gynecologist about it.
4. Postoperative treatment
Ginger, if taken properly, can replace many drugs used to reduce postoperative nausea.
It is also recommended to take it the day before a planned surgery. Of course, in the case of surgery always consult your doctor first to prevent any problems.
5. Treatment of stomach ulcers
Ginger has strong antibacterial properties that allow the body to fight ulcers and prevent the pain associated with them.
Ginger root is also used to regulate and stimulate the acid content in the stomach. Their lack is the cause of Helicobacter overgrowth, which then leads to ulcer formation.
By increasing acidity in the stomach, you paradoxically help eliminate the cause of stomach ulcers.
Mix of moringa and ginger
To prepare this mixture you will need these ingredients:
- 85 grams of fresh ginger
- 10 green moringa leaves or 2 teaspoons of dried powder
- one teaspoon of honey (optional)
- 4 cups of water
Preparation
1. First thoroughly wash the ginger root and slice it into thin slices.
2. Boil the slices in water for 10 minutes. Then strain the decoction.
3. Add the moringa leaves to the decoction, cover and let steep for a while. After steeping, strain the liquid again.
4. Finally add honey to taste and you can serve.
5. Store any remainder that is not consumed immediately in the refrigerator for a maximum of 24 hours.
Usage
It is best to take this preparation 2 times a day — in the morning after waking up and in the evening before bed.
Always drink one glass, that is about 200 ml of the decoction.
