It concerns the color of the lips, specifically a bluish discoloration, which may indicate pneumonia. This is considered a complication of severe coronavirus cases, meaning it is necessary to go to the hospital immediately. Swelling can occur on one or both sides of the lungs, where air sacs form in the airways. These can become inflamed and fill with fluid.
Lip color
If the lips are bluish, it indicates insufficient oxygenation of the blood. Experts from the National Health Service in Britain warn that a patient with blue lips should immediately undergo a medical examination and be hospitalized.
