Smoking is a habit that damages the lungs most of all and, besides them, many other bodily organs. It can also cause permanent disability and other serious illnesses.
It is estimated that approximately 5% of people suffer from some disease caused by smoking, which is about every 4th smoker.
Every 30th smoker even lives with a serious disease such as lung cancer or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.
In addition, smoking can trigger or contribute to the development of the following diseases:
- diabetes
- stroke
- heart disease
- pulmonary edema
- other types of cancer besides lung cancer
- chronic bronchitis
Furthermore, smoking significantly increases the risk of eye diseases, tuberculosis and problems with the immune system or rheumatoid arthritis. Men also face the risk of erectile dysfunction.
Detoxifying the body from tar and nicotine therefore always starts with the lungs. This way you can significantly reduce the risk of developing the aforementioned diseases.
Of course the best option is not to smoke, but cleansing the lungs will also greatly help active smokers.
Today we’ll show you a recipe for a syrup whose consumption will bring significant health benefits to smokers and former smokers in the form of support for lung cleansing.
Recipe for lung cleansing
To make it you will need 4 ingredients: turmeric, onion, ginger and honey.
Turmeric is a miraculous spice, sometimes called Indian saffron. It is rich in minerals, vitamins and omega-3 fatty acids. It has strong anti-cancer, antibacterial and antiviral effects.
Onion, like garlic, also has strong anti-cancer properties and helps prevent the formation of tumors. It also supports mucus production and the removal of mechanical impurities from the lungs.
Ginger has been used to treat various ailments since ancient times. Like onion, it supports the cleansing of the lungs by removing excess mucus that has accumulated over time.
Honey acts as an antibacterial agent and greatly aids the regeneration of damaged lung tissues. It also reduces various types of inflammation.
You will need the following quantities of the listed ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of turmeric powder
- 200 grams of onion
- a 2 to 3 cm piece of ginger root
- 200 grams of honey
- 0.5 liter of water
Preparation
1. Bring the water to a boil.
2. Add to it the onion cut into slices, the grated ginger and the turmeric powder.
3. Reduce to a low heat and let it simmer for 10 to 15 minutes. Some of the water will evaporate.
4. Turn off the heat, strain the liquid and let it cool.
5. When the liquid is lukewarm (not hot, not cold) mix it with the honey until the honey is completely dissolved.
6. Store the syrup in the refrigerator.
Usage
Take 2 tablespoons of the syrup on an empty stomach in the morning and another 2 tablespoons in the evening before bedtime.
Continue the regimen for at least one week, or longer depending on the extent of impurity buildup in your lungs.
