Czech health experts are not alarmed by the rapid spread of the coronavirus in the Czech Republic. They say that the situation in the Czech Republic is under control and is not worse than when there is an influenza epidemic.

Although there is a huge difference between the flu and COVID-19 and doctors are reluctant to equate the two diseases.

French epidemiologists studied individual coronavirus infections from 2013-2019, because every year we have infections in Europe. They compared them with the current pandemic and found that mortality is the same for all coronavirus infections – 1.0.

The director of the Institute of Epidemiology stated that it is still too early to close the coronavirus affair. However, he sees the development of the disease in the Czech Republic as good.

Will it return? 

Nevertheless, he admitted that the infection could return in the future just like the flu. “We are now very well prepared, the next infection will not flare up nationwide, but locally.”
