Burdock is one of the most effective medicinal plants. The root and leaves have been used for medicinal purposes for hundreds of years. Burdock cleanses the blood, supports the immune system and overall benefits the human body.
Its root and leaves have a beneficial effect especially for rheumatic problems and are also recommended for diabetes and blood disorders.

Ways of use
The Japanese add burdock root to various dishes. They slice it into strips (as thin as matchsticks) and then mix it, for example, with grated carrot, sliced bell pepper and pour soy sauce over it. It can be eaten raw, sprinkled with a little salt, or you can add it to soups or sauces. It can also be pickled with vinegar and various spices. The roots are dug up with a spade, washed well and cut into small pieces. Do not throw away the peel, because it is rich in nutrients. Let it dry and store in paper bags.
Root tea
Use 2 roots per 1 liter of water. Boil for 10 minutes and consume within 3 days. For one cup of tea use 5 – 8 slices of burdock. The taste of the tea is bitter, so you can sweeten it with honey, add lemon, mint leaves or other herbs.
