There are many cucumber growers and each has their tried-and-true methods for creating the right conditions. Likewise the support that cucumbers need can vary , depending on the possibilities and size of the plot. Creative gardeners grow them on arches, trellises, wire structures, or nets – on vertical and slanted supports. Today we will show you one of the most effective ways to tie cucumbers, suitable even for smaller areas.
Procedure
With this method you need a piece of land on which you will create a circular bed with a diameter of approx. 1.5 m.

If you are starting with the planting preparation, create a warm bed. Dig a circular hole and add freshly cut grass, or weeds from the garden almost to the edges. Water thoroughly and cover with soil.
2. Then plant the cucumber seedlings at equal distances in a circle. Keep a gap between the plants of about 40 – 50 cm and place a stake next to each seedling. You will later attach the support to it.
Cultivation
3. After 2-3 weeks, when the seedlings have grown a bit and need to be tied, place a pipe about 3 m long in the center of the circle so that it is in the ground about 1 m deep and about 2 m above the surface.
4. About 8 cucumber seedlings will fit on one such round bed. So attach 8 hooks to the top of the pipe.
5. Then tie a string to the stake next to each cucumber and pull it toward the hook at the top of the pipe. Hang it on the hook. Do the same with the other stakes. As the cucumbers grow, the shoots will wind and crawl along the stretched strings. At the beginning, simply wrap them around the string clockwise to follow the natural movement of the plant.
6. When a cucumber reaches its maximum height, you can let it hang freely.
Prepared cucumber beds like this are an ideal foundation for a rich harvest. Besides, your garden will have an original design thanks to such a green cone.
