When you prepare this vitamin bomb, you’ll enjoy a delicious treat and also boost your health.
Fantastic garnish for almost every meal!
We need:
- 3 l canning jar
- 1 head of cabbage
- 3 red peppers
- 2 carrots
- 1 head of garlic
- about 25 tomatoes
- dill and parsley to taste
- 1 glass of granulated sugar (100 g)
- 1/2 glass of vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of salt
- 3 peppercorns
- 3 cloves
Method:
Grate the cabbage and carrots into a fine “straw” and cut the red peppers into very thin strips. Peel and finely chop the garlic. Mix everything together.
Take a 3 l canning jar, put parsley and dill on the bottom, and begin alternating layers of tomatoes and the cabbage, carrot and red pepper mixture.
Sprinkle in the granulated sugar.
Then pour in water, add a tablespoon of salt and half a glass of vinegar. Top up with water to the brim, add the spices, cloves, and close with a lid. Pack the jars into a larger pot and fill it with water to about halfway up the jars. Bring to a boil and sterilize for about 12 – 13 minutes. Then remove the jars and turn them upside down. Store in a pantry or another cool, dark place.
