Do not buy expensive fertilizers and sprays from the store. For a bountiful harvest and beautiful flowers in the garden you need only this one nourishment – nothing more. My father-in-law advised it to me and I still use it on tomatoes, strawberries, cucumbers, eggplants and my wife uses it on flowers (mainly geraniums and petunias). Simply put, it is a vitamin bomb for our entire garden.
If you are a fan of ecological growing, yeast is an ideal fertilizer that will support your plants’ fruiting. Besides beneficial microorganisms it contains phytohormones and B vitamins. Your plants will richly repay you!
Universal feed for crops and flowers
We need:
- 100 g sugar
- 100 g fresh yeast
- about 3 l hot water
- 10 l standing water – for diluting the yeast solution
- 3 l container with a lid
- sprayer with a capacity of 10 liters
Procedure:
1. Pour hot water into a 3-liter container. Do not fill it to the top; leave some free space.
2. Add the sugar and crushed yeast. Stir so that everything dissolves.
3. Cover the container with a plastic lid. Put it in a warm place and let the solution ferment for about 3 – 4 days or a week.
4. After this time shake well and before use dilute in a ratio of 100 ml of yeast extract to 10 liters of standing water.
5. Then simply water the plants with the diluted solution. You can pour it directly at the roots or spray the leaves a little. Apply this fertilizer in the early morning hours or in the evening when the sun is no longer harsh.
You can perform such fertilizing about once every 2 weeks. However, it is good to alternate it with other feedings and leave a break of at least 1 week between each fertilization. We wish you a bountiful harvest!
