In addition to respiratory problems they often cause unpleasant headaches and can also exacerbate allergies and other discomforts.
Many toxic chemicals lie behind the pleasant scent, such as phenol, formaldehyde and phthalates. Indoors, all these substances can easily enter the body through the lungs and even through our skin.
To protect you from toxic substances, you can create a natural scent that costs nothing, takes a few minutes to make and will fill your apartment with a pleasant fragrance that definitely won’t hurt your head.
Besides filling the interior of an apartment or car with fragrance, this scent will also help neutralize various unpleasant odors and protect clothing from moths. And most importantly – it won’t harm your health!
How to prepare a homemade air freshener
The base is ordinary cheap baking soda, which has the ability to absorb odors and retain your favorite scent for a long time.
we need:
- 1-2 small jars with lids
- baking soda
- essential oil or a blend of different essential oils – choose the ones you like
How to do it ?
Pour a one-centimeter layer of baking soda into the bottom of the container.
Add 7–12 drops of essential oil.
Tightly close the container with a lid or a piece of foil and shake the contents thoroughly.
Make several small holes in the lid, for example with a nail and a hammer.
A fantastic interior fragrance made from baking soda and essential oil is ready!
If you cannot close the container with a lid, place a tealight at the bottom of the container. The candle heats the air in the container and produces a more intense aroma.
Scent your home with ordinary coffee
Do you like the smell of coffee? Thanks to the coffee aroma, your apartment will become even more pleasant and will be filled with an incredibly delicious coffee scent.
This way you can literally smell it at home within a few minutes. For this, pour coffee beans onto a plate or open decorative bowls and spread them around the house.
