Certainly you all know it – the B vitamin complex – you can buy B-complex in almost any pharmacy. It’s one of the basic vitamins, and buying it will cost you just a little over 25 Kč. However, you don’t have to use in the garden the one you are currently taking; try looking in your medicine cabinet to see if you happen to have an expired B-complex. This is a perfect tip from our readers on how to use it!
Against aphids number 1 – use this vitamin
Last year I was really desperate because of the aphids and my mother-in-law advised me to use a spray made from B-complex on them. I had this vitamin at home past its expiration date so I was glad I could use it perfectly this way.
You need:
- 1 tablet
- 500 ml of water
Procedure :
When the tablet dissolves, spray the infested plants. It needs to be repeated a few times, but it really helped, the aphids disappeared and the plants did well; I used the remaining vitamin in the watering can.
Perfect for currants
The aphids almost destroyed my currants, so I simply tore off the damaged and curled leaves and then sprayed with a spray made from B-complex or from beer (which was at hand). It’s important to give them a proper dose of vitamin B; those little pests can’t stand it. This year I also successfully got them off the currants this way.
Roses
I use ordinary vitamin B-complex against aphids on shrub roses.
I read that they can sense this vitamin and its scent repels them.
Dry patches on the lawn disappeared
I dissolved a few tablets in water for watering the lawn and also added 2 tablespoons of sugar. I watered the dry patches on the lawn like this and after a few weeks they completely disappeared and the lawn was nicely green. I recommend it to you too.
Protection against mosquitoes
Before the season I always take B-complex 3 x a week. Then I have peace from mosquitoes and ticks only rarely attach to me. I’ve found that when I don’t take it, they eat me alive all summer. Try it, you’ll see, it helped me.
