If you want your plants to grow, strengthen and produce many fruits, follow these instructions. You will be surprised at how well they do and you won’t be able to keep up with harvesting the crop.

Pinching for 3x higher yield

Pinching cucumbers helps the plants grow and improves fruit quality. However, do not cut the main shoot. Trim the side shoots at about the third leaf.

Pinching when growing on a net

If you grow cucumbers on a net, pinch out all the side shoots from the ground up to a height of 50 centimeters. The cucumber does not have a twining stem, and the tendrils do not grip the net well enough. It is therefore necessary to guide the plants into the net’s holes until they reach the top of the structure. Then we flip the tips over to the other side of the horizontal slat and leave them free.

Watering

Caring for cucumbers is important, but don’t forget regular watering. Especially during long periods without rain. When the cucumbers are just germinating, water every other day. Later, water every three days.

Forget about chemicals, this is the best fertilizer

1. Solution with fermented bread

You need a 20-liter bucket and 2 – 3 loaves of stale bread. Tear the bread into pieces and cover with water. Put the bucket in a warm place and let it ferment for at least a week. Dilute the resulting solution with water and pour about half a liter to each plant at least once a week. You can use it from flowering until fruit formation.

2. Wood ash

If the leaves begin to yellow, it means they lack potassium. In that case add 2 cups of ash to 1 liter of boiling water and let stand for 24 hours. Ash is also excellent against mildew.

3. Onion skins

Take a 10-liter pot and add at least 4 layers of onion skins. Then let it boil. Spray the plants with the cooled solution.

4. Milk solution

You also get an excellent nutrient by mixing water and milk in a 1:1 ratio. Pour into a sprayer and spray all the plants.
