In the present day more and more owners of country houses have decorative paths built across the lawn. It is the most stylish, most comfortable and most practical way to get home when it has been raining outside and there is mud everywhere. However, unfortunately you cannot stop nature. Even if your path is, for example, made of ceramic or concrete tiles, grass and other kinds of weeds will find their way through the tiles. But it spoils the whole appearance of the path and only creates extra work for you, given that to make it look decent you have to keep cleaning the path of weeds.
Unnecessary extra work
It is obvious that because of this you will not leave your property and you will try every day to get rid of the weeds, thus cleaning your beautiful walkway. However, this is pointless. As soon as you pull out the grass, by the next day a new one will grow in its place. The roots of the weeds grow very deep in the ground, and because you cannot reach them, and therefore do not pull them out together with the protruding grass, they remain there and from them a new shoot will then grow.
What to do about it?
Sometimes we use all sorts of pesticides against various weeds that could destroy the grass or other weeds. These pesticides, however, are also usually ineffective, because this plant that annoys you so much sooner or later will reappear in the walkway. Therefore we will share with you an effective remedy here that will definitely help you and thanks to which you will permanently get rid of the problem of weeds between the tiles of your path.
- Vinegar
- Salt
- Water
- Liquid soap
You will only need these four ingredients. Mix one hundred milliliters of vinegar with three hundred milliliters of water and add a few drops of liquid soap and one tablespoon of salt. If the mixture becomes too thick, dilute it with a little more water. Stir the liquid until smooth so that there is not a single grain of salt left in it, but so that all the salt dissolves nicely. Then pour it into a spray bottle and spray all the grass you have on the walkway with it.
Warning!
The composition of this homemade liquid will burn the plants together with their roots. But be careful! As you can surely see, this mixture will destroy all plants. Therefore do not spray it on your favorite flowers, but only on the weeds you want to get rid of so determinedly. Do not spray the liquid on places where you would like to grow any flowers in the near future.
