Today we’ve prepared a guide for you on how to customize a vase with flowers. Although it may seem unlikely, even a vase with flowers can look stylish and original. YouTuber Dave Hax used electrical tape and wrapped it around the vase. It may seem strange to you, but that’s not all. Once he added the flowers, something beautiful came together. Try his method yourself and you’ll see it’s worth it.
What to do with a bouquet of flowers that doesn’t fit the vase
Did you receive a bouquet of flowers but don’t have anywhere to put it? Is your vase too small? Or are you simply looking for a way to decorate your apartment and create an unusual decoration? We have a solution for you. Get inspired by YouTuber Dave Hax and solve this problem once and for all. What will you need?
- a vase
- electrical tape
- five minutes of time
It’s really nothing complicated. On the contrary, it’s quick and easy. Even a complete novice can make this decoration. And what is the procedure? Take the vase and pour a little water into it. Almost every florist sells a powder that prolongs the life of flowers. Pour it into the water and stir. This makes the flower last up to three times longer. So if you have this powder, use it.
Electrical tape can solve a lot of problems
Place the vase with water on a flat surface. Take the electrical tape. Your goal is to create a “net” on top of the vase that will catch the flowers and hold them in place. Stick the tape from one edge to the other each time. The middle strip will be the longest. Above and below it will be two strips slightly shorter. If your vase has a non-round neck, of course it will be different.
Now all that’s left is to place the flowers into the vase. Arrange them so they hold nicely. After a few days you can easily remove them from the vase and change the water. If you change it regularly, the flowers will last much longer. Remember to trim them a little at the bottom each time. The cut should be diagonal. Thanks to that the flower will draw more nutrients from the water and will still look like the day you received it.
