Chinese acupressure has been tested for many millennia
You’ve probably heard of acupressure at some point in your life. It is a system of points on the surface of our body that are interconnected with internal organs, and by massaging them it is possible to bring their function back to normal. So if we know the right points, we can get rid of pain and various chronic illnesses in a matter of minutes. However, there is an enormous number of these points and only truly experienced masters know exactly where to press to achieve the desired result. From time to time, though, some of their knowledge comes to light to help millions of sufferers.
One of these points is Tai Chong, also known by the abbreviation LV-3. This point is located on the instep and, surprisingly, is connected to a whole range of different places and, consequently, bodily problems that trouble many people today. These include, for example, headaches and dizziness, stomach ulcers and general digestive issues, as well as problems with eyesight. Regular massage of this spot can relieve not only diarrhea, constipation, vomiting or nausea, but also insomnia, irritability, depression and stress. Research has even demonstrated the effectiveness of massaging this point against tremors caused by Parkinson’s disease.
How to find the LV-3 point, or Tai Chong?
To find this miraculous spot, look for the point where the big toe and the ring toe meet on the foot. It is located about two finger-widths from the junction between the first and second toe. You will know you have found this point simply because it is more sensitive than the surrounding areas.
For proper effectiveness it is necessary to apply the correct pressure. Press this point with your index or middle finger and hold for 2 – 3 seconds. Then slightly direct the pressure toward the bone that runs from the second toe. Then release the pressure for 5 seconds and repeat. Massage the point every day for 2 minutes. If you want to massage in a circular motion, move it counterclockwise.
