This recipe for preparing meat (whether chicken, pork, or beef) is very simple, quick, and tasty, and surely all members of your family will love it. Thanks to baking, the individual ingredients retain their basic range of vitamins and minerals and the meat is prepared in a dietary way, so you don’t have to worry about feeling heavy after such a meal. So how is this French-style meat prepared?

What ingredients you will need

The basis of the recipe is lean meat – in our case it will be chicken breasts, which are easy to work with and absorb other flavors very well during baking. To prepare the recipe you will need the following:

  • 2 pcs chicken breast cutlets
  • 2 tomatoes
  • 2 onions
  • 1 egg
  • 100 g low-fat hard cheese
  • 1 tablespoon white yogurt
  • Ground black pepper, salt

Preparation of the baked meat

The French-style meat is prepared as follows:

  1. Slice the cutlets into thin slices and then into small pieces.
  2. Place the meat into a bowl and rinse well.
  3. Crack the egg into the bowl, add salt and pepper, and mix well together with the meat.
  4. Now prepare the vegetables appropriately – slice the tomato and cut the onion into rings.
  5. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater.
  6. Prepare a larger baking tray, which you grease with olive oil or line with baking paper.
  7. On the tray create the first layer of the dish from the meat and egg mixture – spread the mixture evenly over the tray.
  8. Arrange the onion rings on the meat to form the second layer.
  9. The next layer is the tomatoes sliced into rounds, which we place over the onion rings.
  10. The final layer is the grated cheese.
  11. Place the meat into a preheated oven and bake until the top cheese layer turns golden to brown.

Once prepared, the baked meat is then portioned into regular shapes (squares, rectangles) and can be served with common side dishes such as boiled or roasted potatoes or mashed potatoes.
