Summer has just ended. But that doesn’t mean you have to say goodbye to a natural and beautiful tan. Self-tanning creams are fairly expensive. The skin after them is often rather yellowish or orange. Tanning beds are even more expensive and, what’s more, harmful to your health. Fortunately, there is a way to achieve beautiful and pleasant brown tones cheaply and without chemicals. Enjoy beautiful tanned and bronzed skin all year round without the sun, vacations or harmful chemicals from tanning beds or ordinary creams.
Miracle cocoa
Did you know that cocoa is not only good for children at breakfast and for baking? You can also make a homemade tanning cream from it that is natural, free of toxic substances and without financially contributing to the cosmetics industry. Its great advantage is not only the low price and high effectiveness, but also that it is very well absorbed into the skin and works there. Thanks to that you won’t struggle with yellow tones. To make it you will need:
- 1-2 teaspoons of high-quality unsweetened cocoa,
- ½ cup of body lotion (ideally the one you’ve already tried).
Preparation is amazingly easy
As you probably suspect, simply mix a little body lotion with the cocoa. Stir so that there are no lumps in the mixture. Put the prepared tanning cream into a jar and you can apply it. The more cocoa you add, the darker you will be. Before the actual application you will need to prepare properly. First of all you must remove dead epithelial cells with an exfoliant of your choice. If you have one you’ve already tried, use it. Among other things, you can also make it at home and save even more.
Only by doing this will you achieve even absorption of the cream and an even color. Apply the cream and let it absorb properly into the skin. Only then can you get dressed. Once a week apply a thin layer of the cocoa mixture and you will enjoy a beautiful and natural tan all year round regardless of the temperature outside or whether the sun is shining.
