If you are not fans of dry cakes and bundts, we have a suitable alternative for you — a quick but above all tasty dessert. It will surprise you with its fresh taste. You will see that once you try it, it will become one of your frequently repeated recipes. Moreover, even those who are not very confident in baking will manage it.

Prepare the necessary ingredients

Before you start preparing this great dessert, prepare all the necessary ingredients. This treat will consist of a batter, layered fruit and a few other components. Prepare the following:

Dough:

  • 4 eggs
  • 10 tablespoons sugar
  • 5 tablespoons oil
  • 150 ml milk
  • 150 g flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • a pinch of salt

Top layer:

  • 700 g fresh plums (pitted and cut in half)
  • 3 tablespoons semolina
  • sugar to taste
  • 3 teaspoons vanilla sugar
  • whipping cream
  • chocolate

Start baking

First, start by lining a baking tray with parchment paper. Arrange the pitted plums cut in half on it. Sprinkle them with the semolina and sugar to taste. Put the prepared tray into a preheated oven at 200 degrees for about 15 minutes. While the fruit is baking, you can use the time to prepare the batter.

Beat the egg yolks into a thick foam. Gradually add the oil, milk, flour and baking powder. Mix the resulting batter thoroughly until smooth. Divide the batter into two parts and add the cocoa to one of them. Then pour both over the pre-baked plums. Put the tray back into the oven and this time bake at 180 degrees for about 20 minutes.

On the baked and cooled base, add whipped cream with sugar and decorate to taste with either grated or melted chocolate. Let the resulting dessert set in the refrigerator for a few hours and then you can serve. It is excellent as a dessert with coffee for a weekend visit.
