Eggs are a source of high-quality proteins
According to recent research, eggs are healthier than was originally thought. Ingredients
- six eggs,
- 70 g butter,
- 4 rectangles of processed cheese,
- 100 g mayonnaise,
- 3 tablespoons mustard,
- salt, pepper and herbs (fresh basil, chives, parsley or oregano work well) to taste.
Preparation
Boil the eggs hard, let them cool and chop finely, or mash with a fork or grate. Stir the butter, mustard and the other ingredients into the mayonnaise, then salt and pepper. Add the finely chopped eggs. Mix everything thoroughly and let chill in the refrigerator. It tastes excellent with wholegrain bread.
Don’t be afraid to add onion or potato
You can also prepare the spread without butter in a light version using natural quark, Lučina or Cottage cheese. Alternatively, you can replace the mayonnaise with yogurt or sour cream. It is also good to enhance it with finely chopped onion, crushed garlic or bell pepper. You can also add a crushed cooked potato.
