How to tackle joint and bone pain

Arthritis and other joint and bone diseases are often attributed to older people. It is true that these health conditions tend to appear more often at a later age, but that does not mean they cannot affect someone younger. You can tackle them with easily available foods that you find in your kitchen.

  • Potatoes
  • Red onion
  • Flax seeds

Although this natural remedy does not originate from our country, it follows a tradition that has been well known to our nation since ancient times in the form of onion and potatoes for various inflammatory conditions.

How to proceed correctly

Soak a full tablespoon of flax seeds in 2–3 dl of water and let it cook for about 10 minutes, until the flax seeds create a starchy mixture. In the meantime wash the potatoes and grate them with the peel. Also mash a medium-sized red onion. Once the liquid with the flax seeds has cooled, add the potatoes and onion and mix everything thoroughly. Squeeze out the excess liquid.

Problems with fingers on hands or feet

If you have problems with the fingers on your hands or feet, put the mixture into old gloves or socks and put them on. Over them, also use a nylon bag and tie it so that excess liquid does not leak out.

Hips, spine, ribs and knees

First apply the mixture to a bandage and wrap the affected area of the body with it. Then also use plastic wrap to hold the mixture firmly in place where you need it. Leave it on overnight and remove it in the morning. Wash the area of the body carefully with soapy water and rinse.

Beware of skin irritation

Although the recipe is very effective and consists only of natural ingredients, some skin types may be more sensitive and redness may occur. In that case we recommend first applying a lot of greasy cream or olive oil together with flaxseed oil.
