Even experts have not yet agreed on the exact number of joints in the human body, but it is reported that the final number could be as many as 360. Joints are absolutely essential for the proper functioning of the entire musculoskeletal system, and therefore it is necessary to pay increased attention to keeping them in the best possible condition.
What is osteoarthritis
Arthrosis, or more precisely osteoarthritis, is a disease that occurs worldwide and can affect any of the many joints in the human body. It is caused by damage to or wear of the cartilage that covers the ends of the bones. It varies in intensity; in some people it manifests as joint stiffness or mild pain during certain joint exertion, while in others it can be a serious condition with persistent difficulties. It most commonly affects the knees, which are the most heavily strained joints, but it also often occurs in the hand joints and the spine.
Natural miracle
Much has already been written about the healing effects of ginger; most people associate it with fighting colds and flu, but it also has, for example, anti-inflammatory effects and helps reduce the unpleasant symptoms of migraines. Far fewer people, however, know about its surprising positive effects on joint health.
According to the recipe below you can make an ointment for rubbing on joints yourself, just remember that it is not intended for application on open, unhealed wounds. It does not help only with osteoarthritis, but is also used by people troubled by rheumatism, a sprained ankle, or frequent back pain.
You can prepare the healing ointment from the following ingredients:
- 2 medium-sized roots of ginger
- 2 tablespoons of sea salt, and
- 4 cloves of garlic.
Peel the ginger, cut it into pieces and then crush them, for example in a mortar. Add the sea salt and garlic to the crushed ginger and mix everything well. Rub the ointment onto the affected area and cover it with cling film, which you can secure, for example, with a plaster. Then wrap the joint with a bandage and leave the ointment to work undisturbed.
