It is also very suitable, for example, for children as a snack for school as a pleasant variation of classic types of snack dishes. When you make cocoa rolls according to the following recipe, you will be surprised how long they stay fresh and tasty.

Required ingredients for the recipe

This recipe is very quick and simple and you will like the result right away. The measuring of ingredients is done using a cup that should have a volume of 2.5 dcl. For the dough you will need:

  • a block or tub of soft quark (250 g)
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • a pinch of salt
  • half a package of baking powder
  • 7 tablespoons of milk
  • 5 tablespoons of oil
  • 2 cups of flour

The filling is prepared from:

  • 1-2 tablespoons of oil for spreading
  • 4 tablespoons powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder

How to make the cocoa rolls

After ensuring you have all the ingredients, the preparation of the rolls is carried out as follows:

  1. Prepare the filling – mix the powdered sugar and cocoa into an even mixture.
  2. Turn on the oven and let it heat to 200 °C.
  3. In a bowl thoroughly mix the quark with the powdered sugar.
  4. Add the baking powder, salt, oil and milk.
  5. Then thoroughly work the flour into the mixture and prepare a smooth dough.
  6. Roll the dough on a board to a thickness of 2-3 cm and brush the surface with oil.
  7. Then sprinkle the filling over the dough so that it is evenly covered.
  8. Roll the dough into a log and gradually cut it into individual rolls about 3-4 cm thick.
  9. Place baking paper on a baking tray.
  10. Arrange the rolls on the tray and put them into the preheated oven.
  11. Bake until they are lightly golden on the surface.

Baking should take approximately 15 minutes, after which remove the rolls and let them cool. Consume only after slight cooling. If you store the rolls appropriately – ideally wrapped in foil or a bag or paper at normal room temperature, they should stay soft for a long time.
