Almost every woman has experience with the fact that white socks can’t be washed. At least not so perfectly that they look like new. With children, these problems increase. If you want quality socks that will last, you also need to wash them well so they can serve you for a long time. Sometimes washing, especially white socks, is a mystery even for seasoned wives and mothers.
Which methods are most effective?
We’ll introduce two methods that are proven and work. Neither requires a large amount of products and anyone can do them. In a pot with three liters of water brought to a boil, add two tablespoons of hydrogen peroxide and one tablespoon of ammonia. Immerse the socks in this solution for at least 6–7 hours, preferably overnight. By the next day the stains will disappear. In the second recipe, mix grated household soap, one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide and a little liquid detergent. Put the socks into the solution and boil for about 20 minutes. After the water cools, rinse the socks with clean water.
Your kitchen can help with white socks too
If you don’t trust such experiments, try looking in the kitchen. There you’ll also find helpers that will ensure the whiteness of your socks. Baking soda or baking powder have cleaning effects and, combined with water, can work wonders. Then add the socks to your white laundry and wash them as usual in the washing machine. You can also throw the soda into the washer drum.
