Almost every situation finds individuals who stand against the opinion of the majority, even against the opinions of experts. Many doctors have already commented on the actions of skeptics regarding the Covid-19 virus. But one of the doctors could no longer remain silent. He spoke strongly against people who, in the current situation, refuse to wear masks. The specialist compares them to people who laugh at cancer patients.
The doctor decided to speak because he could no longer stay silent. The well-known doctor addressed all the people who deny the existence of the coronavirus threat and who, among other things, refuse to wear protective equipment such as masks or face shields. He decided no longer to hide his outrage and to make clear what he thinks.
Confession on social media
Doctor Dawid Ciemięga, who daily acquaints Poles with various health issues on social media, decided to speak openly about corona skeptics. The man expressed his outrage at the attitude of people who deny the existence of Covid-19 and refuse to wear masks. His statement reads:
- „For those who think that Covid-19 is fiction – what should I tell the mother of a patient who is now in the infectious diseases ward with coronavirus pneumonia? The woman’s husband and her children have a Covid-19 infection. Did they make it up? Is it fiction?“
- He compares their behavior to people who would go to oncology wards and laugh at cancer patients and point out that the illness is surely being faked.
Reactions were positive
Many words of support appeared under Dawid Ciemięga’s video and social media users argue in the comments that wearing masks does them no harm and they see no reason not to do so. „I wear a mask 10 hours a day at work and on the way home. And I am fine with it, even though I suffer from migraines. My good colleague at work was sick for 4 days and at least I can hope that it is not my fault,“ wrote one user in the comments. Many followers expressed themselves similarly, which is great news.
