The face is often one of the parts of the body we notice most on other people. Experts, however, point out that the face can also tell us a lot about ourselves and our health, since certain changes on the face often indicate that something wrong is happening in our body. For this reason we should pay attention to any changes and problems on the face and, if necessary, consult them with a doctor.
Red nose
There are a large number of blood vessels in our nose and their dilation leads to the nose turning red. This redness is most often caused by temperature changes, allergies, or emotional stress. However, if your nose, especially its tip, is constantly red, it may be a sign of cardiovascular system problems.
Coating on the tongue
Although the tongue is not immediately visible on our face, we should pay even more attention to it. The tongue very often shows an excessive accumulation of intestinal toxins in our body, especially as a white coating on the middle and back part of the tongue. Besides the coating, you should also notice any bumps on the sides, which can indicate problems with the lungs.
Chapped lips and cold sores
One of the common problems related to our lips are cracks in the corners of the mouth. These most often arise due to a deficiency of B-group vitamins and certain minerals, especially zinc and iron. In this case a change in diet is recommended, particularly consuming more salmon, eggs, or leafy greens. If the condition of the lips does not improve, it is advisable to see a doctor, because cracked lips can also be a sign of poor digestive function or diabetes. Another unpleasant problem related to the lips are cold sores. Their most common causes are weakened immunity and stress. Cold sores can also appear as a result of a cold or menstruation.
Red cheeks and pimples on the forehead
Red cheeks are on the one hand considered a symbol of health, but this is not always the case. If your cheeks are red constantly and also burn, it may be lupus, an autoimmune disease associated with a disrupted immune system. If you are troubled by spots on your cheeks, it may be a sign of a slow metabolism or lung problems. One of the areas on the face that will reliably let you know there is too much stress in your life is the forehead. Small pimples most often appear there.
Eyes and eyebrows
Many health problems can also be read from the eyes. If a white ring begins to form around your iris, it is a sign of poor nutrient absorption; a swelling of the lower eyelids is often a symptom of insufficient kidney function. In such a case we recommend drinking more water. Dark circles under the eyes are a sign of fatigue and exhaustion of the body. If your eyebrows suddenly begin to thin significantly and the hairs are thinner and weaker, it may be one of the symptoms of a thyroid disease.
