Skin spots, so-called hyperpigmentation, are formed as a result of aging, sun exposure, hormonal changes or even allergic reactions. Warning: if suspicious spots develop and you are not sure of their cause, it’s better to visit your doctor or dermatologist. Some spots can be a sign of disease, sometimes very serious ones, such as cancer or liver disease. But if you are troubled by common “age” spots, try these recipes.
How to prevent skin damage?
For preventative care of your skin, a few simple rules apply. If the sun is shining outside, treat your skin with a cream with a protective factor against UV radiation. Do not expose yourself to the sun excessively. If you can’t resist sunbathing and tanning, choose quality sunscreens. Pay attention to a balanced healthy diet and sufficient fluid intake – the skin is hydrated primarily from the inside. Dark spots can also appear as a result of minor inflammations and acne. Therefore inflamed pimples should not be squeezed forcefully. Devote yourself to regular skin care, whether at home or with a professional beautician.
Natural masks that will help you get rid of spots
For mask number 1 you will need:
- 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tablespoon baking soda
- 1 tablespoon coconut oil
Mask number 2 is just as simple. For it you will need, in the same proportions as the previous mask:
- lemon
- milk (preferably skimmed)
- white clay
- coconut oil
The same procedure follows for both masks. Mix the ingredients until you obtain a homogeneous mixture. Apply the mask to the problem areas and leave it on for at least 15 minutes. Rinse thoroughly with cold water and treat the skin with a suitable cream. Any unused mask can be stored in the refrigerator in a closed container. This procedure should be repeated at least three times a week.
