The window will also wear out much faster. Adjusting the hardware is not complicated and will take you at most a few minutes.
If windows are fogging and mold forms around them
In this case, high indoor humidity meets the cold surface of the windows, or the problem may be that the windows are poorly insulated.
If poor insulation is the cause, heat loss through the windows will be added to the mold problems. You can fix the situation by applying a vapor-tight tape to the inside of the window frame on the interior side and applying a diffusion foil to the exterior side of the frame.
