We know several types of vitamins, and vitamin C is the most well-known and most touted. Its occurrence is fairly well known. It is found in citrus fruits and other fruit, rose hips, vegetables, potatoes, and countless other foods you know. We can also make it artificially, but the natural form is much more favorable for our body. With the increasing burden on the organism from pollution of water, air, and unsuitable food, the body uses this vitamin more and more. Our cells need it so that we have sufficient immunity against illnesses such as colds, the flu and various inflammations in the body. Vitamin C also helps the absorption of iron from food; without it iron would leave the body without benefit. We should therefore replenish it regularly. What happens when it begins to be lacking in our body? Five symptoms of vitamin C deficiency can appear in the body.

  1. We feel constant fatigue and weakness.
  2. We experience mood swings, nervousness, and anger.
  3. The body has weakened immunity; we catch every bug that flies around us.
  4. There may be bleeding from the gums, and we may lose teeth. Inflammation in the mouth.
  5. We have bruises on our body without having bumped ourselves or had an injury.

How to prevent these conditions.

The simplest way to keep the level of vitamin C in the body at a favorable level is a varied diet. Consume fruit, vegetables, legumes, and foods rich in fiber. Conversely, avoid alcohol, do not smoke, and do not buy or eat industrially produced foods – cold cuts, canned goods, white sugar, and foods containing preservatives. What further helps us is physical activity. You do not have to be elite athletes; it is enough to go out into nature at least twice a week for at least half an hour. In case of emergency you can obtain artificially produced vitamin C, but it is only a substitute solution.

Adequate vitamin C will prolong your life

As you know, a lack of vitamins results in the faster aging of the organism. In the case of vitamin C deficiency, the cells of our body cannot regenerate and age faster. Their renewal does not occur, and thus our organism ages more quickly. Therefore do not underestimate the intake of all vitamins, minerals and trace elements so that even in older age you retain physical and mental freshness, and can fully enjoy life. And so that you reach an advanced age healthy and comfortable, without diseases of mind or body.
