The mirror always tells us the truth. Whether we want it to or not. And in the morning it can be quite cruel. We don’t even have to be coming down from a binge. Dark circles under the eyes, unattractive bags to go with them. There can be several causes for this. From the classic lack of sleep to dysfunction of our internal organs. After all, the skin is the largest detoxifying organ of our body. Some take a cream, and a sufficiently thick layer can work wonders. Make – up can also help. But that addresses the consequences. Maybe it’s better to start addressing the cause. Let’s say what the real cause of these things is, and also ways to get rid of them. It’s nothing complicated, it will just require a bit of willpower and determination.

Start first thing in the morning and go all out

Still half-asleep you walk into the bathroom and turn on the tap with water. Now put your hand on your heart. Who washes with cold water? Warm is so pleasant. But cold has undeniable advantages. Not only does it wake us up and chase sleepiness from the body, but it helps us eliminate dark spots around the eyes, and also those purplish areas. So start doing this tomorrow morning.

Apply a honey compress in the evening

After a whole day when you didn’t stop and spent part of it outside, your body has been through a lot. When our body is tired, we treat ourselves to a bath, a foot soak with some relaxing salt, and skip the facial skin? In the morning it then shows the sins of the evening. Honey water can help relieve us. Its preparation is really simple and takes a few minutes. Take half a glass of water and add a tablespoon of honey to it. Mix thoroughly, then soak cotton pads and place them on the eyes and the area around them. Leave on for at least 10 minutes and relax quietly while doing so. Honey prevents the skin around the eyes from sagging and also prevents swelling during sleep. In the morning we should look much better.

Leftovers from preparing green tea

Green tea is healthy, there’s no doubt about it. It heals our ailments from the inside, but you don’t have to throw away already used tea leaves. If you prepare tea in the morning, you can put the leaves in the freezer. In the evening take them out and place them around the eyes. The cold tightens, and the substances contained in the tea leaves smooth and beautify your skin. The skin around the eyes is very thin, so they penetrate deeply.

Potato slices

Let’s not forget even something as ordinary as a potato. The starches contained in it smooth the skin and refresh it. Place a slice of potato under the eyes, or directly on them, and leave it to work for a few minutes. Starch also smooths wrinkles. After a few days, if you treat yourself to such relaxation from time to time, the circles under the eyes disappear. Isn’t it worth a try?

What not to do in the evening.

Just as in the morning we shouldn’t drink acidic and cold things on an empty stomach or eat burnt fat, similarly in the evening we can skip certain foods that the morning will remind us we shouldn’t have consumed at night. One of them is salt. Salt retains water in the body, and this can manifest as circles and bags under the eyes. On the other hand, it’s good to drink plain water so that all the toxins our body needs to eliminate are flushed out. We help our kidneys to work better, and because the kidneys influence the excretion or retention of water in the body, we also get rid of undesirable signs of poor kidney function that show up on our skin. It’s also possible that dark circles under the eyes have a completely different cause, and then the best solution is to consult a doctor. Causes can vary, and the duration of treatment will depend on that.
